Building the Khronos Group Seattle OpenXR community from zero to 2,500+
- OpenXR
- Community building
- Live streaming
- Content marketing

Outcomes
- 2,500+ members from inception
- 300+ experts at the launch event
The community
The OpenXR standard needed an active regional developer community to build momentum in the Pacific Northwest. I spearheaded the development, launch, and growth of the Khronos Group Seattle chapter, scaling it from inception to over 2,500 members.
The launch
The high-profile launch event featured industry leaders including Nick Whiting (OpenXR Chair, Epic/Unreal Engine), Joe Ludwig (Valve), and Vinay Narayan (HTC Vive), engaging 300+ technology experts. I built the digital marketing, social, community, live-event, content, and analytics infrastructure — and produced and directed the live stream, photography, video, and social promotion.
