Here is a quick overview for customer acquisition using universal search engine optimization.
When people make a search query they are “grazing” or surfing information, typically on Google. Thus I will use Google for this example.
First, try this search query for “Career Counselors, Bellevue”.
Here is a visual for this search. Note that search engine results pages are dynamic and change in real-time.

The main point here is to show you how to leverage local search, website/blog, internet video and posting to directories to create multiple customer touch points as they surf the search results page. What I find is that people build a mental picture and “trust level” for your brand if you show up across universal search results. Videos are a superb way to “close the deal” if you have the right targeted short format videos that are informative and not just “sales pitches”. People will often surf results, see a video play it and then go back and view your website. They may book mark your site and then come back to watch more videos and then fill in a form for more information.
The key is to create a “multimedia” content development strategy that is very granular, targeting very specific custom needs and the keywords that they use to search and find information.
